Rude self checkout cashier

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Yesterday, I was shopping at 2931 S Chicago Ave, South Milwaukee, WI 53172. I was treated unprofessionally. I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of items every week for my family and today was the most horrific experience. Yesterday, a self checkout cashier, was treating me like I was a thief while LP was watching my every move. The cashier is short (height) and with short hair. I have the receipt to show time stamps as evidence. I felt unwelcome and poorly treated. As I walked out, a police officer was monitoring me as well. This is definitely a racial profile case. I will not be shopping here again!

Pick N Save charges you a fee if you request cash back on your purchases. I was told other stores do the same. As of this date, I have found NO other grocery stores in the Burlington area have done this. I know they don't care about losing a few customers because of their policy as they just lost this one.

Terrible customer service -- Monona, WI

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

There are two nearby Pick N Save stores for me to shop - this location and one in Fitchburg. I regularly shop both, but am now questioning myself as to why I go to either store, as their prices are high (even with the Perks card), selection is not always the best, and their customer service is the worst of any grocery stores in the Madison area.

Sunday, September 29, I shopped the Monona store, purchasing nearly $200 in groceries. I was never greeted or spoken to by the checker (Tyshawn). Later, I realized that I was missing a few items and called the store to check. Sure enough, a bag of groceries with my items was still there at the end of the checkout lane.

I wasn't able to get back to the store until nearly 9 PM, at which time the service desk was closed. I approached three blank-looking teenagers lounging about in one lane and explained the problem. My groceries were then handed over to me without so much as a 'Sorry about that' I am fed up with the lack of service at these stores, employees that can't so much as say 'Hello,' and ongoing problems with checkout and pricing errors.

Other than the fact that these stores are nearby, there is really no incentive for me to shop there anymore. Coupled with your high prices, the extra drive to Woodman's will be worth my time.

Rotten Tomatoes

Pick N Save - Rotten Tomatoes
Pick n Save at 7401 E. Good Hope Avenue had rotten and moldy tomatoes in produce. At 2:30 pm on 09-12-2029 I alerted a male worker who alerted a manager. Nothing happened. I returned to the store with my daughter at 7:09 pm the same day. The rotten tomatoes are still there. I returned home and called Pick n Save and spoke with Marcus, the manager. I informed him that I would contact corporate, the news media, and post this disgust on Facebook.

Kroger Go Away!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Pick N Save - Kroger Go Away!

Ever since Kroger has taken over these stores, they have gone downhill-in a hurry!! Bad enough I have to consistently check myself out, because there is seldom more than two checkouts open at a time, but now today, I go to the deli, which I do weekly, and I see it is now self serve.

All the salads are now the same price-even the ones that are normally cheaper- at 7.00 dollars a pound!! On top of that, not only do I have to pay more, I HAVE TO PACKAGE IT MYSELF?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I have been shopping Pick N Save my whole life- my parents shopped there since it opened as a warehouse.

I even worked for the Roundy's company at thte meat packing plant when I was a teenager.

Shame on you for treating customers this way, Kroger. All I can say is bye-bye, I will no longer be patronizing your stores.

After the last several visits to Pick N save, since they were bought out by Kroger, we have decided to grocery shop elsewhere. Specifically Sendiks and aldis. More often than not there is one checker for several customers. We do not like self check out. Very inconvenent. Quality of food is better as well at Sendiks. Its a shame what has happened to our local grocer.

Don't eat the bakery sprays the inside of door with cleaner while the bakery is covered with mist. Send the mangers back to school

I completely agree. My local store in Mukwonago is not the same, and none of the changes are for the better since Krogers took over. My alternate store is Woodmens and Aldis, even though I don't care for some of the brands at Aldis

Madison, Wisconsin - North on Shopko Dr.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The only reason I ever shop here is because of it's convenient location for me on the Northside and I've heard that from other people as well. On the East/North side, Woodmans, Hyvee, Festival are all much better in so many ways: checkouts, speed of service, variety, prices, and quality.

I'd love to see Pick 'N Save be replaced by a Festival at this location.

Often I find that this Pick 'n Save has multiple attendant's watching two banks of self-checkout lanes while all the regular cash register lanes are closed. The self-checkout lanes are small and I almost always end up placing food on the floor. These self-check-out lanes are designed for people who have just a few items. 90% of the time anyways I need to call an attendant over, because an item isn't found, a bulk or sale item isn't easy to find or is missing altogether, or I have liquor and need an attendant's approval.

The Deli and the Bakery are worthless.

The worst variety of any of the many grocery store chains in the Madison metro. The Salad Bar is not bad though, but that's all that is half-way-decent on that side of the store. Produce is also quite horrible. Its small, very little variety, and often I find some items not looking all that fresh.

I won't say much about prices.

I do know they are higher on some products compared to the other major grocery store chains. Also I have found prices often higher on some products at this particular Pick 'N Save location compared to other Pick 'N Saves.
